Welcome

Welcome to the home of V+ (vee-plus), a Visual Programming Language (VPL).  V+ has been quietly proving that VPL’s are well suited to real time data flow programming. Thousands of Distributed Modeling and Simulation (DM&S) applications have been authored and installed around the world.  Intuitive and easy to learn, V+ is self-documenting in that the visual program is the source and presentation of visual objects in much the same way a schematic diagram would be expressed. V+ is a natural choice and practical way to build visual programs. Used in high end military simulation systems it is only just now being targeted for commercial use. Explore this new programming paradigm and join the conversation as V+ is introduced.

What is V+?

What is V+?

V+, is a true data flow, fourth generation VPL used to create programs called designs that are completely visual free of text based code. A design consists of one or more visual objects with input and output pins interconnected via nets arranged on one or more worksheets making up a project.

Data flows into and out of the design via ports, which are elements of an I/O Device, which is part of an I/O driver. Designs are easier to create, edit and maintain compared to traditional text based programming languages and the finished product is a self-documenting presentation, the source in a VPL.

Why V+?

Why V+?

Not only is a VPL a natural evolution in programming, the creative process is far more engaging and free of the laborious details that go into text based code. V+ applications are developed in hours, not days or months. V+ is not a panacea, but for realtime data flow applications, V+ saves time and therefore money.
